Christmas got a little merrier for Hardeeville residents Yajaira Aguilar-Chairez and Jose Gerardo Suarez Rico when Santa made a special stop at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital Collins Birthing Center early Christmas morning. This cute little stocking stuffer, Yahir Suarez Aguilar, arrived at 1:33 a.m., weighing in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces. Yahir, delivered by Beaufort Memorial OBGYN Dr. Octavio Melendez-Cabrera (pictured in above photo to the left of mom and dad), went home to meet big brother Gerardo with a Christmas quilt from the Sea Island Quilters, who have carried on this wonderful tradition for more than 25 years.
