An F/A-18D Hornet assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 115 is staged at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. VMFA-115 supports the Marine Air-Ground Task Force commander by providing supporting arms coordination, conducting multi-sensor imagery reconnaissance, and destroying surface targets and enemy aircraft, day or night, under all weather conditions, during expeditionary, joint, or combined operations.
