Burton Fire rescues 1 from car crash

The Burton Fire District rescued a trapped occupant from a vehicle collision on Broad River Blvd on Wednesday, Feb 10, sending three people to the hospital.

Just before 1:30 p.m., Burton firefighters were called to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Broad River Blvd. by Donaldson Camp Rd. Initial reports indicated occupants were injured and trapped.

Firefighters arrived on scene to a two-vehicle collision with one female occupant trapped inside her vehicle. Fire crews worked to free the occupant, who appeared to have potentially serious injuries, while also assisting Beaufort County EMS in treating two more occupants that appeared to have non-life threatening injuries.

All three occupants were transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
