Love is in the air Friday, Feb. 5 as the Downtown Beaufort Merchants Association ushers in the month with a Luv in Beaufort-themed celebration which will run from 5 to 8 p.m.
Everyone is invited to shop for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift at Downtown Merchant Association businesses – an eclectic mix of more than 50 galleries, specialty shops, and boutiques.
To make the evening more exciting and special, shoppers who make a purchase at a member business will receive an entry form for a chance to win one of many special prizes including a Beaufort Romance grand prize package – a night’s stay at Cuthbert House Inn and $100 gift certificate from Panini’s restaurant.
In addition, five winners will receive a $25 gift certificate from a downtown business. Shoppers can drop completed entry forms in drop box that will be set up on the clock plaza at West Street. The Luv in Beaufort Drawing will take place and winners announced, via Facebook Live, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6.
As with all First Friday events, music will set the atmosphere as shoppers stroll the blocks, and individual shops will feature specials, discounts, sales, and activities. This and every First Friday event is free and open to everyone.
