Eagles snap slide with tough road win over Trojans

Beaufort High’s girls bounced back from a two-game skid with a 38-32 win at James Island in Region 7-4A play Friday. 

Layla Warren scored 14 points and Ki’Ayisa Moultrie added 12 to lead the way for the Eagles.

The Eagles kept it rolling with a 58-23 home win over Lucy Beckham on Tuesday.

Beaufort (5-4, 4-3) hosts Hilton Head High on Friday. 

BHS boys fall despite four in double digits

Beaufort High’s boys came up short on the road against the No. 10 team in Class 4A on Friday, falling 82-65 at James Island.

Ollie Holmes scored 15 points, Rush Riley had 13, Zyrin Odom added 12, and Daniel Phares scored 10 for the Eagles.

The Eagles bounced back with a 67-39 win over Lucy Beckham on Tuesday.

Beaufort (6-3, 4-3) hosts Hilton Head High on Tuesday.
