Registration for Operation Holiday Heroes under way

United Way of the Lowcountry is partnering with Toys for Tots, Agape Family Life Center, Antioch Educational Center, Bluffton Self Help, Deep Well Project, Love House Ministries and The Salvation Army again this year for Operation Holiday Heroes. 

This initiative is a two-county collaboration to assure that every child and family in need throughout Beaufort and Jasper Counties has toys and food this Christmas.

Those in need of Christmas assistance will need to register. However, registration dates, times, and requirements are different at each participating organization.

Registration at the Salvation Army will take place from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 through Friday, Oct. 30 at 2505 North Street in Beaufort. Those requesting assistance will need to bring a valid photo ID or ITIN card, proof of residence (lease or electric bill), birth certificate for all children younger than the age of 12, DSS Benefits report is helpful, custody papers if raising grandchildren, nieces/nephews, or foster children as well as all current income and expenses.

All locations will be following the CDC’s guidelines and practicing Social Distancing. All registrants, volunteers and employees will be required to wear masks at Registration Sites. For indoor registrations, one person per family is allowed only. No children will be allowed at registration sites. Please contact individual site for additional information.
