BA ends season on high note

Beaufort Academy closed out its season with an impressive showing Friday, routing visiting Patrick Henry 59-12.

Dawson Coleman threw four touchdown passes — three to William Tumlin — and Jacob Union rushed 11 times for 152 yards and two TDs to lead the Eagles’ offensive outburst. Elijah Fess added a rushing touchdown and caught a TD pass, and Jaxen Porter and Devonte Green each added a rushing score.

Malakai Steiniger led BA with eight tackles, Braydon Dineen added six tackles and forced and recovered a fumble, and Jackson Davis and Ben Lubkin each had an interception. 

BA (3-6, 3-4) finished fifth in the region standings, missing out on a playoff spot.
