King Mackerel Fishing Tournament

Captain Nick Russell is sponsoring an American Wounded Veterans King Mackerel Fishing Tournament. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Independence Fund for the Lieutenant Dan Weekend. Tournament fees are $350 per boat, and registration takes place on July 8 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Beaufort’s Waterfront Park. The fishing tournament begins on July 9 at 6 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Weigh-In takes place at Beaufort’s Downtown Marina. If 200 boats participate, $30,000 will be paid out in awards ranging from $500 to $12,500. Payout and awards will be pro-rated for fewer boats. If weather dictates, Sunday, July 10th will be an alternative fishing day.
