While trying to take a five-second time exposure of Venus, right, and Saturn, middle left, on Friday night, Jan. 17, a high-flying jet photobombed the image and flew right through the center of the frame, according to photographer Bob Sofaly. The image was taken at ISO 5,000. The lens was set at f/8 to create the starburst affect on Venus. To submit a Lowcountry Life photo, you must be the photographer or have permission to submit the photo to be published in The Island News.
