Grounded Running celebrates new store location

The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the grand opening of Grounded Running’s new store location in Beaufort Town Center on Thursday, Oct. 17. The celebration begins at 5 p.m., and the ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. 

At 6:30 p.m., following the celebration, the Grounded Running team will host a group run.

The public is invited to attend the celebration. From 5 to 6 p.m., guests can check out the new space, meet the staff, and enjoy light refreshments. Guests are also invited and encouraged to participate in the group run.

Grounded Running Beaufort, which opened its doors in 2016, is also the host of the Beaufort Track Club, which is Beaufort’s free community running and walking club. For more information visit Grounded Running at 2139 Boundary St, Suite 108 or at groundedrunning.com.

New insurance and financial planning services in Beaufort

A new insurance and financial planning services company has opened in Beaufort. Licensed Insurance Producer, Michelle L. Kelly, has opened Sand Dollar Insurance & Financial Planning, LLC. Banks joins Chris Hervochon CPA firm

Heather Banks recently joined Chris Hervochon, CPA, CVA accounting firm as a staff accountant. She will provide outsourced accounting and tax preparation for small businesses and individuals. Prior to joining the firm, Banks spent three years in the automotive accounting industry. She is finishing a degree in accounting from Brenau University and is a regular volunteer for the American Red Cross, Night of Champions and the Arts Council.

Gaglia joins Collins Group Realty

Amy Gaglia has joined Collins Group Realty as a team support specialist and will work in support of the group’s in-house closings department and marketing department. Gaglia is a graduate of UNC Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She previously worked as an RN, and in administration for the School of Nursing and School of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and Mercer University in Savannah.

Wet Willie’s re-opens

Wet Willie’s has re-opened its doors in Beaufort Town Center next to The Beaufort Bookstore. It is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and from noon to 11 p.m. Sundays.

Wet Willie’s is a Daiquiri Bar dedicated to serving great-tasting frozen daiquiris with an honest portion of alcohol at fair prices and great food to go with them.
