The 2020 Swing Bridge 5K & Prayer Walk will be virtual this year.
Holy Trinity Classical Christian School has announced that in response to COVID-19, the 2nd annual Swing Bridge 5K & Prayer Walk has switched to a virtual format.
The 5K and 2K “Tater Tot” races, which were originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17 in downtown Beaufort, will now start virtually any time after the date of registration. Times must be submitted by email on or before midnight on Oct. 17. Online registration is available at https://www.htccs.org/give/swing-bridge-5k/. This year, there is even a “Couch Potato” no run option. Winners will be announced on Sunday, Oct. 18.
The cost to run is $35 for the 5K or $25 For the 2K. The “Couch Potato” no run option is a donation of $25. This is a fall fundraiser for the school and helps support the Holy Trinity Fund and scholarships. Again, this year, the school commits to tithe 10 percent of its net income from the event to their sister school Good Shepherd Academy in South Sudan.
A prayer gathering is planned on the school’s campus at 6 pm on Friday, Oct. 16 via Facebook LIVE. You are invited to participate at https://www.facebook.com/HolyTrinityClassicalChristian/. This is an opportunity to come together and pray for the school, the city, the state, the country, and the world, as well as for relief from COVID, for Good Shepherd Academy, and for the spread of the Gospel around the world.
