LowcoSports.com

After a mountain of moral victories, Ed Susi finally had one to celebrate at Battery Creek High School on Friday.

A number of unheralded underclassmen stepped up to help the Dolphins claim a 41-26 win over John Paul II and give Susi his first victory as their head coach.

Eddie Heyward and Nigil Fripp each scored two touchdowns on the ground and combined for more than 100 rushing yards, and Derrick Smalls Jr. had a big game in all phases with 56 yards on two carries along with a 70-yard punt return touchdown and a 58-yard interception return to set up a score.

Bryant Jolley rushed for 145 yards and two TDs for JPII, and Alan Wolf was 9-for-18 for 257 yards with two TDs and an interception, with Thomas Gehm on the receiving end of four passes totaling 137 yards and two scores.
