John Whetsell scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to ice a big win for the Raiders in a defensive struggle at Merritt Field, handing BA its first defeat. Nych Underwood’s 60-yard touchdown run tied it at 8 at halftime, but the Eagles couldn’t find the end zone after the break, and Whetsell’s second TD of the night sealed the win with 34 seconds left.
