City Golf Championship returns to Fripp Island

The 23rd Annual Beaufort City Golf Championship returns Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 14-15 to Fripp Island Resort’s Ocean Point Golf Links and Ocean Creek Golf Course.

The tournament is a 36-hole individual medal play tournament. Competitors will be flighted based on scores from the first round of play. The entry fee is $175 per player.

The Open Division will play the gold tees and will be flighted after the first round. The Pro Division will play the gold tees, as well. The overall City Champion will come out of the Open or Pro Division.

The Senior Division is open to those who are ages 60 and older and will play the blue tees.

Play on Saturday, Aug. 14 will be on the Ocean Point Golf Links, and play on Sunday, Aug. 15 will be on the Ocean Creek Golf Course. Tee times start at 8 a.m. both days.

The fee includes green fees, cart fees, lunch Sunday after final round, practice balls, tee gifts and prizes. Entry deadline is Monday, Aug. 9.
