The Coastal Conservation League, in partnership with the Port Royal Sound Foundation, will hold a Beaufort Litter Sweep from 8:30 to 10 a.m., Friday, July 26, to clean litter out of the marsh and green space along Boundary Street.
The public is invited to come learn about what Beaufort County could be doing to decrease the plastic pollution in the local environment and help contribute to collecting data to inform these decisions.
The groups will categorize and track the various types of litter, which is important and necessary data needed to inform solutions to our environmental plastic pollution.
Those who attend should wear or bring closed-toed shoes or boots that will get muddy, work gloves, a hat, sunscreen and water. Trash grabbers and trash bags will be provided.
Those interested in participating should visit https://bit.ly/4f5JER4 for more information or to register. The group will meet in the parking lot at 100 Ribaut Road.
