Beaufort National Cemetery Representative Louis N. Brown II was the guest speaker when the Beaufort Republican Women’s Club (BRWC) held its informal quarterly members meeting at 10 a.m., aturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at the Red Rooster Restaurant at 2045 Boundary Street in Beaufort. Brown spoke about the history of the cemetery and several well known individuals interred there. Spanish oss-draped live oaks enhance a walk through the cemetery, which is open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to sunset. For information about tours, call 843-524-3925 or go to www.nationalregister.sc.gov. The BRWC quarterly meetings are informative and fun, and anyone interested in joining is welcome.
