Rotary announces Global Grant Scholarships

/

From staff reports

Local college and graduate students interested in attending a graduate or post graduate program overseas could be eligible for the Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarship program.

Global Grant Scholarships require students to pursue study and research that align with Rotary’s worldwide causes and seven areas of focus: peacebuilding and conflict prevention; disease prevention and treatment; water, sanitation, and hygiene; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; community economic development; and environment.

There are a number of scholarships for periods of one to four years.

Detailed information is available at www.rotary.org/grants, then click on Global Grants.

The local contact in the Lowcountry area is Rosemary Hunt from the Rotary Club of Beaufort. She can be contacted at rhunt@tcl.edu.
