Mystic Osprey hosting reception for Molesky

The Mystic Osprey Fine Art Gallery in Habersham Marketplace is hosting a gallery reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 10 for artist David Molesky.

Molesky is an internationally recognized fine artist based in New York City known for his landscapes and figurative works.

His representational paintings of humans and environments have been featured in many museum exhibitions including the Baltimore Museum of Art, Maryland; Pasinger Fabrik, Germany; Casa Dell’Architettura, Italy; and Telemarksgaleriet, Norway.

Molesky’s work often depicts animals or people in expansive natural settings. Recently, one of his paintings was acquired by a prominent New York collection that will be acquired by the MOMA.

Molesky’s paintings are in the permanent collection of the Long Beach Museum of Art among other museum collections on both coasts and in Europe and Asia. He is the recipient of artist residencies through the Morris Graves Foundation, California; Fine Art Base, California; and the Fundacja Nakielska, Poland. 

The gallery requests patience to allow guests to meet the artist and put guests’ safety first with social distancing. Osprey will also have masks available for anyone who does not have one. 

Ghostbusters, Deadpool highlight Drive-In schedule

Movies through Thursday, July 9 at the Highway 21 Drive-In include Ghostbusters (PG, 8:45 p.m.) and The Jungle Book (PG, 10:30 p.m.) on Screen 1 and My Spy (PG13, 8:45 p.m.) and Deadpool (R, 10:30 p.m.) on Screen 2.

Gate opens at 6:30 p.m. Please observe social distancing requirements. Masks are required inside the concession stand. The Drive-In has added online ordering for food and tickets at https://us.orderspoon.com/hwy-21-drive-in.
